What to Include in a Roofing Estimate

  • Client and Contractor Info – The name, address, and contact information of both client and roofing contractor.
  • Type of Roof – The type of roof (flat, low sloop, steep slope) and the material (shingles, aluminium, copper, etc.).
  • Type of Job – Whether a repair, a full replacement, a brand new roof, or regular maintenance.
  • Cost of Material – The total cost of material, often calculated per square (100 sq. ft), including hardware, roofing, flashing, vents.
  • Cost of Labor – The size of the crew, their hourly rate, and the estimated number of hours required.
  • Total – The total that the client will pay including tax and discounts. Often provided with an expiration date.
